    Executive Vice President — Payment Services
    Discover Financial Services

    Diane E. Offereins is Executive Vice President, Payments Services for Discover Financial Services and a member of the Discover Financial Services Executive Committee. She is responsible for Discover® Network, PULSE and Diners Club International and serves as CEO of PULSE, a Discover Financial Services company and one of the nation's leading debit/ATM networks.

    From 1998 to December 2008, Ms. Offereins served as Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer for Discover. Before joining Discover in 1998, she served as Senior Executive Vice President for MBNA America with responsibility for managing the corporate system development with Hallmark Information Services. Prior to that, Ms. Offereins was Vice President of retail delivery systems and wholesale delivery systems for Bank of America in San Francisco for five years, and with Southeast Bank for nine years, where her last position was Vice President and Director of Application Development.

    Ms. Offereins has a B.B.A. in accounting from Loyola University. In addition to her responsibilities with Discover, she is a board member of the Children's Home + Aid and belongs to The Chicago Network.

    President

    David Schneider is President of PULSE. He also serves as Senior Vice President, Corporate Debit Strategies and Products, of Discover. Mr. Schneider is responsible for managing PULSE, and for evaluating debit growth opportunities, including acquisitions, alliances and new products.

    Before joining PULSE in September 2000, Mr. Schneider was a partner in the Houston office of Fulbright & Jaworski L.L.P., practicing in the Corporation, Banking and Business Department.

    Mr. Schneider has a B.A. in economics, summa cum laude, from Tulane University and a J.D., magna cum laude, from Georgetown University Law Center.

    Karen Gardstein
    Executive Vice President — Finance

    Karen A. Gardstein is Executive Vice President of Finance for PULSE.

    In addition to overseeing Finance for PULSE, Ms. Gardstein serves as Vice President, Field Finance, for Discover, where she is responsible for the Finance area of Discover's Payment Services line of business. Ms. Gardstein joined PULSE in 1996, prior to which she was a manager in Arthur Andersen's Computer Risk Management practice. She previously worked in the securities industry as a registered investment advisor.

    Ms. Gardstein has an M.B.A. from the University of Houston with an emphasis in accounting and management information systems. She has a B.S. in geology from the University of Southern Mississippi.

    Judith McGuire
    Executive Vice President — Product Management

    Judith McGuire is Executive Vice President of Product Management for PULSE.

    Ms. McGuire established the Product Management department at PULSE. Through strategic product planning and development, she led PULSE’s transition from a PIN network to a broader payments provider supporting the full range of debit transactions.

    She has an extensive background in the payments industry and is a regular speaker at payments industry conferences. She joined PULSE in 2002 and managed the acquiring side of the network’s business until 2008. Previously, she worked for nine years in product development and marketing at First Data Corporation.

    Ms. McGuire has a B.A. in advertising from the University of Texas at Austin. She is an advisor to the Buzz Points board of directors, a member of the Debit Network Alliance board of directors, a member of the advisory board for the Texas Nature Conservancy and participates in the National Charity League.

    Jennifer Schroeder
    Executive Vice President — Operations

    Jennifer Schroeder is Executive Vice President of Operations for PULSE.

    Ms. Schroeder joined PULSE in 2013. Her primary responsibility is management of the company’s operations department, including processor services, production support, implementation, certification, compliance and fraud operations. Prior to joining PULSE, Ms. Schroeder served for 20 years at Discover Financial Services, most recently as Director of Client Support. In this role, she was responsible for managing operational and compliance relationships with Discover’s North American merchants, acquirers, issuers and key vendors.

    Ms. Schroeder has a B.S. degree in Business Management from the University of Wisconsin.

    Executive Vice President — Marketing & Communications

    Steve Sievert serves as Executive Vice President of Marketing and Communications for PULSE.

    Mr. Sievert joined PULSE in 2007 and is responsible for managing communications, marketing, and public-relations activities for the company. He also oversees the network's professional development and training programs, and PULSE's brand-development initiatives. Mr. Sievert has more than 25 years of communications and marketing experience, working for both publicly traded and private companies, including Compaq Computer Corporation, Texas Children's Hospital, US Oncology and Baylor College of Medicine. He began his career as a broadcast journalist in radio and television, and was a sports reporter and columnist at the Houston Chronicle.

    Mr. Sievert is a graduate of the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism.

    Mike Urquizu
    Executive Vice President — Sales and Account Management

    Mike Urquizu serves as Executive Vice President, Sales and Account Management for PULSE.

    Mr. Urquizu joined PULSE in 2001 as a sales executive. His current responsibilities involve managing and directing the company's sales and business development activities.

    Mr. Urquizu began his career in EFT in 1995 with EDS's Consumer Network Services, where he was responsible for sales of ATM driving and offline debit in the Midwest region. Prior to joining EDS, he served in financial analysis and bank operations for First Chicago's credit card division.
